If you stick with the CE1 fusebox you can use the clock loom from a MK2 scirocco to allow you to fit pre-90 MK2 16v clocks & mfa, near enough plug & play if you get it all uncut. Please anythink i have missed or seem to have not thought about post up, i am leaning towords doing No 2 as this seems like it might be the simpler and neater of the two options.Īt the end of the day it is your choice really, any of the above are viable options I was also going to add the MK3 indicators so that i can use the MFA and add MK2 CE2 clocks - will this work? and how much of the MK3 clocks wiring loom do i have to modify? will the MFA function from the MK3 work with the MK2 clocks? How easy is it to get the MK3 CE2 loom to run the rear MK1 lights. I was going to make my own relayed lighting loom so this would be the perfect oppurtunity anyway. ![]() Add the whole CE2 wiring from the MK3, addapt the cabin loom (lights, fan) so it runs the MK1 switch gear. I am interested here in opinions on the difficulty involved with adapting the ABF loom, do i have to add relays for the lambda probe, fuel pumps anythink else etcĢ. Addapt the MK3 engine wiring loom to run from the MK1 CE1 fuse box, then use a CE1 MK2 Golf fuel pump loom for the fuel pumps (might need adapting to run the ABF pump). I am in two minds at the moment over which way to go.ġ. ![]() ![]() I have a complete MK3 Golf 16v 1996 ready to be striped of any bits and bobs that i require. I have a Carbed MK1 Golf that was an auto model running with CE1 electrics. Hi, I am interested in veiws and opinions on what would be the better way to complete a ABF to MK1 Golf conversion.
